Empty Bowls Painting Event

Wednesday, February 20, 2019, 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Location: The Studio, 118 Main Street, Hamilton, Ohio, Hamilton, OH US 45013

Cost: $10.00

The Empty Bowl Project began in Michigan in 1990  Combining art with community involvement, John Hartom created a unique way to combat hunger.  The Presbyterian Church is partnering with "The Studio" in Hamilton and combining this wonderful opportunity with our Ash Wednesday meal this year.  Here are the details!

When:  Wednesday, February 20 - 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Where:  Drop in to "The Studio" (118 Main Street, Hamilton, Ohio).  The price per painter is $10/bowl, tax exempt.  Families are welcome to bring food and drink while they paint!  The Studio has 70+seats for attendees who are welcome to stay for the evening or come and go as best fit for each family.

For anyone who cannot attend the painting event, bowls would be available to paint through Sunday, February 24.  Just stop in and let them know you are there to paint a bowl for The Presbyterian Church.

What:  The bowls will be delivered and displayed at our Ash Wednesday soup dinner on March 6.  Those attending will have the option to fill an "Empty Bowl" with soup and take it home with them for a donation of $10.  All proceeds will go Shared Food Harvest to help fight hunger in our area.

Sounds like a great way to enter the season of Lent, reflect on those who are less fortunate, and donate to a worthy cause.
