The Presbyterian Church Blitz News for the week of 5/28/2020

Posted by Trish Reynolds on

Dear Friends,

Hello everyone! We hope this email finds everyone doing well. The staff has developed a survey to assist us as we make plans to return to worship in June. We would like to have your input from the survey so we can have a clearer picture of what to expect and how to prepare. The survey contains some basic information about returning to Phase II In-Person worship and six questions. Our target goal is Sunday, June 21, 2020, to resume Phase II in-person worship. Next week, we will have defined plans and will share the results of the survey and final plans in next week’s Blitz email, Facebook, Instagram, and our website. Please click here (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HLQSNXN)  to complete the survey. The survey should take no more than three minutes to complete, and your input is vital as we make our next steps.

ONLINE WORSHIP TIMES THIS WEEK: We will continue to stream our services on Facebook and our website. The Traditional Worship Service will be aired live on Facebook at 9:30 a.m., and the Praise Worship Service will be broadcasted at 10:45 a.m. Both services can be found on our Facebook video page at www.facebook.com/pg/thepresbyofhamilton/videos or by clicking on our “Sermons” icon on our website at www.thepresby.org.

**We have some reminders and new information to share with you this week**

MEALS AND CARDS: For those that may not have heard, Mark Provart had a heart attack Sunday into Monday. He is doing much better after the medical team inserted a stent, and is now recovering at home. His wife, Kelli, is scheduled for surgery next week as well. If you would like to help provide meals for the family or send a card, please call the church office, 513-867-5411, for information.

GRADUATE PARADE: Thank you to everyone that participated in last week’s parade. It was fun for the participants and made a lasting impact on our graduates and their families.

BLOOD DRIVE:  Your community needs you! The Community Blood Drive is scheduled for Thursday, June 18, 2020, from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 212 S. Front St. Because of health concerns and social distancing restrictions, all blood donors must make an appointment. They are unable to take walk-ins at this time.  PRESBY DERBY: The Christian Education Committee is making plans to have the annual derby later this year, possibly in the Fall. More details will be shared when that information is available. If you have not purchased your car yet, please contact Linda Bonham or the church office, 513-867-5411, to make arrangements. Each kit is $5.

SOUND & VIDEO VOLUNTEER OUTREACH REQUEST: We are looking for individuals who are willing to help continue our Audio and Video outreach. We will be training our volunteers so that they feel empowered to serve and comfortable with the process. Training will begin soon in anticipation of Phase II In-Person worship.  If you are interested in supporting this outreach, email Michael Smith at . We cannot do this alone, we…need…you!

We look forward to in-person worship and appreciate your time to complete the short survey. It is hard to believe how our lives have changed in the last ten weeks. Thank you for being a congregation of friends and family that look out for each other and encourage each other through this time of transition and uncertainty. Your staff appreciates your ongoing support. If you need to speak with someone, please contact the church office, 513-867-5411, as we continue to support each other during this challenging period. We are stronger together. Stay safe! Stay healthy!
