FOOD FOR THE SOUL
Years ago, in a small town, a man wrote a letter to the editor and said, “I’ve been going to church for some 30 years and listened to some 3,000 sermons, but for the life of me, I can’t remember any of them. I think I’ve been wasting my time, and preachers have been wasting theirs.” Letters went back and forth in that local newspaper, but finally the clincher came when a fellow wrote, “I’ve been married some 30 years, and my wife has prepared some 32,000 meals for me, but for the life of me I can’t remember a single menu on any one of those meals. But if it hadn’t been for those nourishing meals, I couldn’t have done my work, and I would be dead today.”
God wants you in church on Sunday.
