HOW TO HANDLE A CRISIS

Posted by Pastor John Lewis on

Have you ever had to deal with a crisis? Maybe you’re dealing with one right now.  This coming Sunday at The Presbyterian Church, I’m gonna talk about how to handle a crisis.

Years ago, there was a farmer who had a donkey that fell into his well.  It cried for hours.  The farmer didn’t know what to do- the donkey was old and the well needed to be covered up. So he got some of his neighbors with shovels, and they began to cover up the well with dirt. The donkey began to realize what was happening and began to cry even louder. But then, all of a sudden it got quiet.  The farmer looked into the well, and every time a shovelful of dirt hit the donkey’s back, he would simply shake it off and take a step up onto the next level of dirt. This went on for quite some time, until the donkey stepped out of the well and went walking off.

Life’s gonna shovel a lot of dirt at each one of us.  But it’s up to us to learn how to shake it off and take a step up until we get out of the well.  I’d love to see you this Sunday at The Presbyterian Church and look at how we can handle a crisis together
