Have you ever battled the crowds at the mall during Christmas? Years ago there was an old woman who lived way out in the country. But this year she came into the city to do some last minute Christmas shopping. She had never seen so many cars parked in a parking lot and she had also never seen an elevator in her life. As she stood at and elevator door holding her granddaughter’s little hand the two of them watched an old man get on the elevator and then watched the doors close. They watched as the numbers went all the way up and then watched as the numbers came back down. And to the grandmothers surprise the doors opened and a young handsome man walked out! She then turned to her grand daughter and said, Go get me your grandfather!.

One more for the girls……

According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December. Female reindeer, however, retain their antlers until after they give birth in the spring. Therefore, according to every historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, every single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen..... had to be a female. We should have known this.... Only women would be able to drag a fat man in a red suit around the world in one night, and not get lost.

Merry Christmas!

Scripture:   Proverbs 17:22 A joyful heart is good medicine,

Prayer: Lord, help me to not lose my sense of humor this Christmas season. Amen
