This is just the time of year when people are glued to the television watching the playoffs in the NFL. Years ago, Don Shula was the coach of the Miami Dolphins and took his team to a perfect season and won the Superbowl. He decided to get away from the media and the newspaper and take his wife on a little vacation up the coast of Maine, in a small little village.  It had one gas station, one diner, and one very small movie theater. One night they went to the diner and had a wonderful meal.  Then they decided to go over and catch the movie. When they walked in, the movie theater was so small they had to sit in folding chairs.  As they walked in and took their seat, everybody else stood up in applause.  Don leaned over to his wife and said, “You see, sweetie, I can’t go anywhere.” About that time, the fella sitting behind him tapped him on the shoulder and said, “Hey buddy, I have no idea who you are, but the manager said unless 2 more people show up tonight, I am not showing this movie.”

Every now and then, we all have to eat a little humble pie.
