The Presbyterian Church Blitz Email Update - April 8, 2020

Posted by Trish Reynolds on

Dear Friends,

Easter has arrived and not a bit too soon! We hope that you have been able to enjoy the warmer temperatures and sunny weather. Our hope is that this email finds everyone healthy and safe. We hope you can join us online for Worship Services this week.

We have several points of interest in this week’s Blitz:

  1. Easter Worship Services: We have two services this Sunday, April 12, 2020, that will be streamed on Facebook atwww.facebook.com/pg/thepresbyofhamilton/videos. Join us at 7:30 a.m. for the Online Community Easter Sunrise Meditation Service on Facebook, beginning at 7:30 a.m. We will broadcast The Presbyterian Church Easter Worship Service at 10:00 a.m. Both services will be posted to our website, www.thepresby.org, later Sunday afternoon. Email your prayer requests to .

  2. Maundy Thursday Service, April 9, 2020, will be available online at 7:30 p.m. You may view this service on Facebook “Live.” At www.facebook.com/pg/thepresbyofhamilton/videos. This service will be uploaded to the church website as soon as possible.

  3. Way of the Cross on Good Friday, April 10, 2020, will be available online at noon. Everyone is invited to view this service on the church’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/pg/thepresbyofhamilton/videos. This service will be uploaded to the church website as soon as possible. Share this with your family and friends.

  4. Online Worship Services will continue after Easter on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. on Facebook until the social distancing restrictions are lifted. When this decision is made, we will work quickly to resume in-person worship services as soon as possible. At that time, we plan to continue offering some type of online service because we are reaching people we have never reached before with our Traditional and Praise worship services.

  5. Ways to Help Our Neighbors: We have learned that the Community Meal Center is closed until further notice because of the pandemic. We have learned that a couple of organizations are stepping up to fill that void. Pastor John, Pastor Kim, and members of the Presby staff are meeting with those organizations this Thursday to find out how best we can help them to support our neighbors. We will be sending out information on how we can help soon.

  6. Your Church Staff is working diligently to put the final touches on Easter programming.  We are also seeking ways to do more online services and Bible Studies. We will share this information with you after Easter. The staff continues to provide pastoral, clerical, mechanical, and custodial services, both on-site and at home, as able. We are making every effort to be in the church office, Monday – Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. If you need anything, please contact us. All staff members are available by phone at 513-867-5411. Messages are being retrieved remotely if no one is available in the church office. Please allow 24 – 48 hours for us to respond. We will make every attempt to answer your request before the 24 – 48-hour time frame. Emails are being monitored frequently, as well. The office is closed on Monday, April 13, 2020, in observance of Easter.

  7. Small Groups are highly encouraged to move to a digital format for meetings. We ask that you continue to pray for one another and find a non-physical place to meet; phone, text, Facebook, Zoom Video, Uber phone, Go-to-Meeting, etc.

  8. The Blood Drive is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, 2020, at Zion Lutheran Church, 212 South Front St., from noon – 6:00 p.m. They will be practicing physical distancing. We need you to donate! Appointments are encouraged and can be made by visiting www.donortime.com or by calling 1-800-388-4483. Be sure to use sponsor code #171.

We wish you a Happy Easter and continue to pray for God’s protection over you in these difficult times. We are stronger together!
