BLOWIN' KISSES

Posted on

Years ago, there was a family getting ready for Christmas; wrapping up all of their Christmas presents. They had a 3-year-old little girl who was so excited about Christmas coming, so she wanted to give her father something. So, she went and got the expensive, gold wrapping paper that was under the bed, got the scotch tape out, and wrapped up a shoebox much like this. She placed it under the tree, and she told her daddy that she made something – got something for him this Christmas. He picked up the shoebox and shook it and said, “This thing is empty. Why would you use that gold, expensive wrapping paper on an empty shoebox?” She said, “Daddy, it’s not empty, I blew kisses into it, that you can take one out anytime you need it.”

Sometimes the most important things are right in front of us, even at Christmas.

Come join this Sunday at 9:30 at the traditional service on Front St. or at 10:45 across the street in the Court St. sanctuary for our children’s pageant.  Hope to see you there.
